Making Up for Lost Time

We apologize here at EasyStackin' for getting wrapped-up in the laziness of winter. We suspect that the summer months would distract us from posting on a regular basis and we found ourselves falling in the 'Laziness of Winter'.

So, to make up for lost time, we have four posts here. Our selections today from the RCA record vault. Two Red Seals, one regular Victor and one from the Living Camden series.

From the regular Victor label, Frankie Carle 37 Favorites for Dancing. Well, we have to admit, we have a problem with this recording and could only provide about 16 of the 37 favorites. 1958 Enjoy!

More Living for 2009

Time for some Feelings from the Living Strings conducted by Johnny Douglas, 1977. You'll find a few cuts from the I Write the Songs album featured in this album as well. Each of the 'Living' groups (Voices, Guitars, Trio) issued compiled albums in this series released in 1977. Each cover replicated the one posted here. Each was also lined with notes by famed WRFM morning man, Jim Aylward.
The favorite pick here, At Seventeen (featured in the Sample Box) that I share with my buddy, Rich. This is dedicated to him!
Cheers Rich and Happy 2009! Live it well!

More Choir for Christmas - Norman Luboff

Christmas with

The Norman Luboff Choir

First released on RCA records in 1964, Pickwick International re released it in 1977 as presented here. I believe I purchased the album (new) not only for the artist but, also for the album cover. I recall having those (vegetable) oil lamps in the 70's.

The arrangements are great and reminiscent of Luboff's 60's style. Favorite pick is Jingle Bells.

Enjoy!
